The Monday Morning WHIP // 99

The creative business can be a trying one at times. There’s no shortage of curveballs to keep you on your toes. And without a mentor you’re on your own. So if you can, find yourself one and don’t let go. Like we’ve done. With Stan (http://branddna NULL.blogspot NULL.com).

Over the last couple of months I’ve been working with a prominent industry body to set up a mentoring scheme.

This is something I am very passionate about.

It’s almost impossible to put a price on the value of a mentor. They are a sounding board, a helping hand, a reassuring pat on the back and a kicker of the arse when required.

And when you’re in the early stages of your career finding one is essential.

Obviously it’s not easy to get someone to become your mentor, but if you ever meet someone who impresses you why not just ask them?

The worst thing they can say is no.
