Sage advice from our man Stan (http://branddna NULL.blogspot NULL.com). A touch of the Paul Arden’s “Seek criticism not praise” in there.
As I’ve said many times before in The Whip, when you show your work to people you need to understand you do it because you want to make it better, not because you want a pat on the back.
Of course a pat on the back is awesome. In fact there’s nothing quite like it.
But every now and again you will get the opposite of a pat on the back.
Now that shit hurts. Bad.
But once you’ve recoiled from the shock, dusted yourself off and gone back to work you’ll be grateful.
Maybe not that same day.
Or even that week.
But one day you will.
