31 Things // 30 Tips from Creative Industry Leaders

    31thingsbanner

Dear Sydney’s creative and youthful underbelly,

Are you the type of person to say on a day of extreme heat, “Wow, friend, how hot is this weather!?”

Fuck you. What do you expect us to say? “Oh! Yes! Gosh! I had no idea how hot it actually was. In fact, now that you mention it, I’m sweating like a gerbil in a gaybar. Ice-cream?”

We like to call this question: ‘the fucking annoying question’. You’ll hear it a lot this summer. Don’t be that person.

OK. Wow. So glad to get that off our collective chests.

You see, young and talented friends, that’s something we call advice. An incredible tool of communication everyone loves to receive, especially when wrapped in hilarity and spoken with prowess in front of a crowd of drink addled young-somethings.

Which, we’ll have you know, is happening next Wednesday November 25 at 7pm in the Sydney CBD.

Australia’s two premier junior creative organisations — Junior & Find Your Yang (http://findyouryang NULL.com/) — have double-teamed their special powers to present…

    31 things: A one-night extravaganza-themed event for creative hopefuls.

There’ll be free Rhodia notebooks and beer to share.

There’ll also be a room filled with super good-looking people to drink the beer with.

And if you’re lucky, you can use the notebooks to record their numbers.

You might even find the Yang to your Yin. Romantically or careerially. Whichever floats your proverbial boat.

Three of Sydney’s smarterest creative industry leaders will be there, dishing out canapes of advice on a powerpoint platter, behind a microphone, in front of you.

Melissa Peters – Digital CD of Lowe (http://www NULL.lowesydney NULL.com/)
Andrea Nixon- Director/Creative Strategist of Play Communications (http://playcommunication NULL.com NULL.au)

They’re each giving 10 tips in 10 minutes, which when you add it all up, means you’ll receive a total of 30 tips in 30 minutes.

Get it? 31 things. What’s the extra thing? Don’t ask. You’ll see.

It’s all happening at a place called Good God Small Club (http://www NULL.goodgodgoodgod NULL.com/), 55 Liverpool St, Sydney CBD. (Enter through La Campana)

    Be there circa 7pm.

    Speakers start at 7:30.

    Tickets are $10.

Which ain’t that bad, seeing as it includes a couple of beers and Rhodia (http://notemaker NULL.com NULL.au/collections/rhodia-bloc-top-staple-pad-collection-australia) stationary from our friends at Notemaker (http://notemaker NULL.com NULL.au). (Golly, how generous is Notemaker (http://notemaker NULL.com NULL.au/)? They really are the best stationary website on the planet.)
